Periodontal Disease Stages: Making Teeth Fall from their Position

A periodontal disease is known as a dental disease affecting gum tissues that ultimately deteriorate tissues with infection in dental plaque. Dental patients suffered with the disease always feel an inflammation in their gums. It is not easy to get rid of the disease despite proper dental care and cleaning of the teeth.
Gingivitis and periodontitis are the two common stages of a periodontal disease.

Gingivitis or inflammation of the gum tissue is known as the first stage of the periodontal disease showing redness, swelling and inflammation on gums. In this stage, bacteria get active and invade the jaw tissue making them inflamed regularly. People suffering from the disease need to have immediate medical attention so that good oral health can be restored effectively.
Periodontitis is the next stage of gingivitis that not only affects the gum tissues but also deteriorates the jaw bone badly. When reaches in advanced stage, periodontitis destroys the jaw bone that renders support to teeth. If not taken seriously, the next stage of the periodontal disease can force teeth to loose their natural place and get fallen. A dental procedure called “scaling and root planning” is the right way to treat periodontal diseases as it removes the deposition of tartar from the surfaces of teeth.
