How to brush your teeth properly?

Dentists and health experts emphasise on regular brushing for enjoying good dental health. Brushing helps prevent bacteria from clinging onto teeth and thereby prevents cavities, tooth decay, and gum disease.
To keep your teeth healthy, you must brush at least twice daily. It is equally important to brush your teeth properly. You must take a pea-sized dab of toothpaste on the head of the toothbrush and then place the toothbrush against your teeth at a 45 degree angle to the gum line. Move the brush in circular motion across your teeth. Clean one tooth at a time.

When brushing, move your toothbrush gently. The bristles of the toothbrush must not lie flat against the teeth. Make sure that the bristles reach into the spaces between the teeth as food particles get stuck there causing plaque to build up.

Do clean the side of your teeth that faces the tongue. You can use the same circular motion to clean the backside of your teeth. While brushing, you must clean your tongue too. You can use your toothbrush to give your tongue a few gentle strokes. It would help remove bacteria and would freshen up your breath.

Brush your teeth for 2-3 minutes and then rinse with water. Use mouthwash to prevent bad breath and gum problems.

Change your brush once in two-three months and use a good quality, soft brush.

Eat Right to Enjoy Good Dental Health

For good dental health, you must eat right. You must avoid eating foods that contain too much of sugar and starch as these can produce acid in your mouth. These acids can cause cavities and can lead to gum disease and other dental problems.

To avoid tooth decay and gum diseases, you must avoid snacking on candies, chocolates, cookies, cakes, pies, and gums. Hard candies are even more harmful for your teeth as they stick onto the teeth and stay in your mouth for longer. You can eat sugary treats but try to have them in moderation. Further, you must brush your teeth after having candies and chocolates or cakes and pies.

Starchy foods like potato chips, crackers, and breadsticks are also harmful for teeth as they stick to the teeth. For the same reason you must avoid eating dried fruits and raisins.

For good dental health, eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. They are rich in Vitamins and minerals and help in strengthening your teeth. Consume dairy products like milk, cheese, and yoghurt, and intake eggs, soya, and poultry to provide your teeth with calcium and protein.

Natural Remedies for Healthy Gums

Proper gum care is part of good dental hygiene. If you want to have healthy teeth and gums and want to have a beautiful shimmering smile, follow these simple natural remedies for healthy gums.

Eat citrus fruits as they contain Vitamin C that helps in strengthening the teeth and prevents plaque deposit. Oranges, grape fruits, lemon, lime, pomegranate, and guavas are excellent sources of Vitamin C.

Take sesame oil, turmeric powder, black pepper and salt and mix them well. Use this mixture to massage your gums every day.

Rub honey gently along your gum line. Honey has natural anti-bacterial properties that fights germs and bacteria and keeps your teeth and gums healthy and disease-free.

Add a pinch of salt in a glass of lukewarm water and use this solution for rinsing your mouth. It helps improve blood circulation to your gums and reduces reddening and swelling.

Brush and floss your teeth regularly. You must also clean your teeth once in a day to prevent plaques from forming inside your mouth.

If you notice spongy, dark red, or pale gums or you experience pain and sensitivity, or bleeding while brushing, consult your family dentist. These are signs of unhealthy gums and usually indicate gum problem.

  • Adjacent natural teeth are not cut or loosened
  • Dental implants cease the bone deterioration process
  • These implants improve the facial structures and there are no sagging lines

When you want to flaunt all your teeth and need the ability to chew and smile comfortably, get a multiple-teeth implant treatment and get truly benefited.

Dental Experts- A Brief Introduction

Dental implant treatment makes use of the most advanced technology and carries out dental treatments with a team of professional experts. An ideal implant treatment typically requires- the patient, the dentist who prepares a crown as well as the oral surgeon who carefully carries out the implant treatment. The entire expert implant team works in close tandem to ensure that every expert knows how the patient’s expectations to be met.

The professional implant team is created when the choice of the dental implant treatment is taken. This further includes a thorough examination, discussion with the candidate and implant team members and essential x-rays. The oral surgeon surgically inserts the implants into the candidate’s jaw.

When the first phase of implants procedure is completed, the dentist prepares a report of the upper as well as the lower jaws. This report is made in order to create the appropriate dentures and crowns. After the crown procedure is done, the teamwork still continues. Several follow-up tests with the dental surgeons are sensitive and thus the progress report is meticulously charted. The entire team of dentists works to provide the highest level of service and post treatment care.
When you want a permanent cure to your dental problem, trust only professional and experienced dental experts.

Analysis of Dental Implants

Dental implants are one of the latest treatments that are especially designed for patients to replace a single tooth. The procedure consists of three techniques: the titanium implant, the abutment and the crown.

Patients who have lost a single tooth can look for a fixed bridge. However, bridges may require the cutting adjacent and healthy teeth. This technique also involves an additional cost of replacing the bridges once, twice or even more in upcoming years. Likewise, a temporary partial denture can be used to replace loss of adjacent teeth. According to the dental researches, there is a failure rate of 30% in teeth fitted next to fixed bridges or temporary partial dentures.

In addition, traditional dentures can result in the loss of bone where the teeth are missing. Basically, the natural teeth preserve the jawbone. When a tooth drops down, your jawbone may get weak until you get a grafting bone treatment done. But when a missing tooth is treated with an advanced dental implant, the jaw bone provides complete stability to your jaw, same as the natural tooth does.

So, if you are agitated with your missing tooth, look out for a reputable dentist and get a dental implant treatment done. Smile like before!

What are the benefits of dental implants?

Although bridges and dentures can offer you temporary solution for missing tooth, innovative dental implants assure long-lasting results. Unlike bridges, these non-removable implants help you to chew, speak and smile properly. The best of fixed dental implants is, these do not require trimming of your healthy adjacent teeth and are perfect for ceasing bone loss.

Other benefits of dental implants:

Aesthetic: Dental implants appear and make you feel like your own teeth. Since the implants integrate into your jawbone, these prevent bone loss. The artificial teeth feel and function naturally and require the same oral care as natural teeth.

Tooth saving: Another benefit of dental implants is that you do not need to compromise over the quality of your neighboring teeth because the adjacent teeth are not altered to support the implants. Most of the teeth remain untouched, ensuring good dental health.

Increase self-confidence: Implants allow you to chew, speak and smile thereby increasing your comfort and confidence. These are secure and provide you utmost relief from discomfort and embarrassment that is obvious after teeth loss.

Suffering from Tooth Loss? Get a Long-term Cure with Implants

Tooth loss is critical issue that can make a victim feel self-conscious about his or her appearance. Conventional techniques such as use of bridges do not always solve the problem as these are removable, uncomfortable and also look unattractive. To cure the problem of tooth loss, dental implants have emerged as a long-lasting solution and can restore a beautiful smile on the victim’s face. The innovative implant technology is successfully used by reputable dentists across the world:

What is an implant?
An implant is made out of titanium and is surgically placed on your teeth by a cosmetic dentistry specialist. The artificial tooth is placed into the jaw bone and it feels like natural teeth. Tooth implants also help to maintain good oral health as they cannot be removed and do not decay over time.

Maintaining implants
Once you have received an implant treatment, you can eat, talk and smile without any hassle. In addition, it is very convenient to clean the implants as the new teeth function and feel like your natural teeth.

Whether you have a single tooth missing or several missing teeth, you can trust dental implants for a long-lasting solution.

Tips to Find a Good Family Dentist

Even though many of you might assume that your teeth are in good shape and color, regular visits to the family dentist are important. Dental health is vital as there are plenty of nasty diseases which can arise from bad gums and teeth. Families should pay extra attention while finding a good dentist as children normally have a fear of visiting to the dentists and presume them as stern and scary. Hence, finding the right dentist is necessary when it comes to maintaining a good oral health of all your family members.

Here are some tips to help families find a good family dentist.

You must not wait for too long to get an appointment
Find a family dentist who does not keep you waiting for too long to get an appointment. Even busy dentists take good care of their regular clients in a timely manner. In emergencies, your dentist should be available within a day or two. Moreover, the usual checkups and appointments should also not take more than two weeks. A professional dentist is the one who knows how to manage appointments timely and efficiently.

The family dentist must be good with children
When you are in search of a good family dentist, you will surely expect him to be friendly with your children. Certainly, you don't want your kids to grow up disliking the dentist. Hence, it is advisable to find the one who gets along well with your children making them feel comfortable while being in the dentist’s office. This way you will be able to remove the fear persisting in their mind about getting a dental check-up.

The family dentist must make clients feel at home
Many professional dentists equip their offices with entertainment elements such as television sets and comfortable furniture, friendly staff and pleasing ambience. It is the homely environment in which your family members would feel comfortable while getting their dental check-ups and treatments.

Advanced dental treatments should be offered
Not all dentists can offer advanced dental treatments. So find a family dentist who could provide your family dental solutions using the most up-to-date dental equipment. Also look for other services in your family dentist such as porcelain fillings, digital X-rays, non-surgical gum care, zoom teeth whitening and other dental solutions.

Veneers- Perfect Treatment to Improve Dental Problems

From subtle modifications to major repairs, when it comes to dental treatment, your dentist follows a variety of procedures to improve your smile. There are plenty of techniques to treat teeth which are stained, discolored, missing or chipped. A dentist can fill the close spaces, reshape your teeth, restore short teeth and even trim the length of your teeth. Common procedures such as bonding, bleaching, crowns, reshaping, veneers and contouring are used to improve your oral problems. Out of these, Veneers is known to be the most effective solution that assures complete elimination of all your tooth problems.

Veneers

Veneers or Invisalign Veneers are thin pieces of plastic or porcelain that are placed at the front teeth to change the shade or shape of your teeth. These pieces are used on teeth which are discolored, chipped, uneven, oddly shaped or unevenly spaced. Less or nil anesthesia is required to place these fixtures.

This dental treatment is a perfect alternative to crowns and assures complete cure to your dental problems. The dentist takes an impression of your tooth before veneer cementing. The custom-made veneer is cemented directly over your front tooth. When the cement is placed between the veneer and your tooth, a light beam is used to harden it. These treatments have a longer life expectancy and color stability than other dental treatments.

So, don’t be confused and get Veneers, the perfect treatment to your dental problems.

Tooth Pain? Get a Tooth Implant

Despite several treatments in dental care, millions of people still suffer from tooth loss due to tooth decay, gum disease or tooth injury. For many years, the only options available with people with missing teeth were dentures and bridges. But today, dental implants have evolved as the most effective solution for all ages.

Dental implant refers to replacement of tooth roots. These tooth implants actually give a stronger foundation for both permanent and removable replacement teeth which are then made to match your natural teeth.

There are many benefits of a Tooth implant, including-

  • Improved appearance
A dental implant is designed to fuse with the bone and becomes permanent. Therefore, this treatment makes it feel and look like your own teeth.

  • Improved speech
Due to poor-fitting dentures, the teeth often slip within the mouth causing you to mumble your words while speaking. But with dental implants, you are able to speak without any hassles.

  • Easy eating
Sliding teeth can make your chewing difficult. With a tooth implant treatment, you can eat your favorite food without pain.
Dental implants can give you back your natural smile and help you feel confident about yourself.
