How to brush your teeth properly?

Dentists and health experts emphasise on regular brushing for enjoying good dental health. Brushing helps prevent bacteria from clinging onto teeth and thereby prevents cavities, tooth decay, and gum disease.
To keep your teeth healthy, you must brush at least twice daily. It is equally important to brush your teeth properly. You must take a pea-sized dab of toothpaste on the head of the toothbrush and then place the toothbrush against your teeth at a 45 degree angle to the gum line. Move the brush in circular motion across your teeth. Clean one tooth at a time.

When brushing, move your toothbrush gently. The bristles of the toothbrush must not lie flat against the teeth. Make sure that the bristles reach into the spaces between the teeth as food particles get stuck there causing plaque to build up.

Do clean the side of your teeth that faces the tongue. You can use the same circular motion to clean the backside of your teeth. While brushing, you must clean your tongue too. You can use your toothbrush to give your tongue a few gentle strokes. It would help remove bacteria and would freshen up your breath.

Brush your teeth for 2-3 minutes and then rinse with water. Use mouthwash to prevent bad breath and gum problems.

Change your brush once in two-three months and use a good quality, soft brush.

What are the benefits of dental implants?

Although bridges and dentures can offer you temporary solution for missing tooth, innovative dental implants assure long-lasting results. Unlike bridges, these non-removable implants help you to chew, speak and smile properly. The best of fixed dental implants is, these do not require trimming of your healthy adjacent teeth and are perfect for ceasing bone loss.

Other benefits of dental implants:

Aesthetic: Dental implants appear and make you feel like your own teeth. Since the implants integrate into your jawbone, these prevent bone loss. The artificial teeth feel and function naturally and require the same oral care as natural teeth.

Tooth saving: Another benefit of dental implants is that you do not need to compromise over the quality of your neighboring teeth because the adjacent teeth are not altered to support the implants. Most of the teeth remain untouched, ensuring good dental health.

Increase self-confidence: Implants allow you to chew, speak and smile thereby increasing your comfort and confidence. These are secure and provide you utmost relief from discomfort and embarrassment that is obvious after teeth loss.

Veneers- Perfect Treatment to Improve Dental Problems

From subtle modifications to major repairs, when it comes to dental treatment, your dentist follows a variety of procedures to improve your smile. There are plenty of techniques to treat teeth which are stained, discolored, missing or chipped. A dentist can fill the close spaces, reshape your teeth, restore short teeth and even trim the length of your teeth. Common procedures such as bonding, bleaching, crowns, reshaping, veneers and contouring are used to improve your oral problems. Out of these, Veneers is known to be the most effective solution that assures complete elimination of all your tooth problems.

Veneers

Veneers or Invisalign Veneers are thin pieces of plastic or porcelain that are placed at the front teeth to change the shade or shape of your teeth. These pieces are used on teeth which are discolored, chipped, uneven, oddly shaped or unevenly spaced. Less or nil anesthesia is required to place these fixtures.

This dental treatment is a perfect alternative to crowns and assures complete cure to your dental problems. The dentist takes an impression of your tooth before veneer cementing. The custom-made veneer is cemented directly over your front tooth. When the cement is placed between the veneer and your tooth, a light beam is used to harden it. These treatments have a longer life expectancy and color stability than other dental treatments.

So, don’t be confused and get Veneers, the perfect treatment to your dental problems.
